Archeology & Nature in Northeast Thailand

Rarely visited Northeast Thailand – ancient ruins and nature at its best!

Esaan, or Northeast Thailand, has a beauty all of its own with rice fields that stretch for miles. This trip blends visits to rural villages with bronze-age archeology, the Khmer heritage, and some of Thailandīs national parks.

Beginning in Bangkok, you head to Khao Yai National Park and on to Khorat. Visit the archeological finds of Ban Chiang, and the Khmer temple of Phimai. Cross into Laos, wander the temples and streets of Vientiane, and then walk Phu Hin Rongkla National Park. Finally, visit Thailandīs first capital, the magnificent city of Sukkothai.
